Meet Albert Lopez Encarnacion
B.F.A. Fashion Marketing and Design

AIU graduate and fashion designer Albert Lopez Encarnacion's fascination with cotton began in high school, where he explored ways of growing cotton and how it is developed into clothes.

Albert's research inspired him to attend American InterContinental University in Los Angeles and pursue a B.F.A. in Fashion Design and Marketing. The Monterey Park, California native has created his own trademarked label, CottonBoy®, for which he is the chief designer.

He currently is in the process of introducing his emerging line to the market. Items in the collection are made exclusively of natural materials, namely cotton, wool, silk, and linen.

The 2007 CottonBoy® collection debuted at the AIU annual fashion show on June 21, 2007 in Hollywood, California.

Albert says that the instructors at AIU nurtured his passion and empowered him to take his ideas to the next level. He credits AIU with providing the education to put him on the road to real success in the field he loves.
